Quick Heal Antivirus Pro : Review

Quick Heal has launched its new Antivirus Pro and it is priced at 999/- but you can buy it from other e-commerce website for 390/- only .

It has features like -

Advanced DNAScan

Quick Heal’s DNAScan technology is designed to tackle this problem as it identifies new threats. It does not depend on virus signature database to detect new viruses.I was impressed with its working and it does work as the company said while the launch.

Browser Sandbox

This product's browser sandbox is disabled by default, and enabling it requires a reboot. When active, it displays a glowing border around the browser. The settings page says the browser sandbox handles storage of your "browser data" and deletes it at regular intervals; you can also delete it manually. I'm not sure what this means, though. Clicking the button to delete sandbox data didn't wipe out my browsing history, added favorites, or autocomplete data.

You can optionally create a list of confidential folders and prevent the browser from accessing those folders. There's also an option to list folders that the browser can access but whose contents it can't modify. And you can define a folder to hold downloads from the sandboxed browser even when the sandbox contents are deleted.

I'm not sure how much use this feature will be for the average user. And I'm not 100 percent sure what it does. As I mentioned earlier, I didn't have much luck getting answers from representatives of the company.

TrackMyLaptop

You can also track your lost Laptop using this Antivirus .I didn't try it but one of my friend used it to find his father's lost Laptop.

Quick Heal's Firewall is not very good . You must use Windows Firewall which is far more stable and better.

Web Security

With this Web Security feature they say that it can block all malware and spammy sites but we can assure you that it will not . The malwares can still get through it . Maybe an update will fix this but for now it is not working ..

Verdict -

All the features work perfect at this cheap price of 390 /- or for the price .

You can't expect much from an antivirus priced so cheap but for a normal user It is very good.

You must buy it if you want a cheap antivirus with packed features and good virus database .

You must not if you want an antivirus that can handle web security and sandbox efficiency.

But it is still better than NPAV .
