Display-
It features a 5.2 inch screen which is decent and has a pixel density of 424 PPI with Corning Gorilla Glasses 3 to protect it and the 2.5 D Curvy design looks good and the quality of screen is sharp and satisfies the expectations . The touch sensitivity is also very impressive or you can say It is highly sensitive which may bring some problems while keeping it under pockets
It is a FHD (Full HD 1080 x 1920) pixels which is a key factor and is not seen in this price cap.

Camera-
Talking about the camera It features a 13 MP rear camera with auto focus ,Power Flash and Samsung lenses inside to give it a zero shutter lag but still while taking images it doesn't work as expected . Overall quality of rear is good but not as good as it was expected ...
Talking about the 5 MP front camera has a flash and the overall performance of it was good .
Modes included are Panorama, Night, Professional, Dual View, Face Beauty and Sports. The interface is like that of many other handsets we've seen. The screen has controls for all the modes including the flash and front-facing camera on one side, while the video mode, shutter button and a shortcut to gallery are on the other.
The camera relied on high ISO levels but sometimes even struggled to focus a subject for almost 2 seconds after pressing the shutter button before the shot was actually captured. HDR mode also took a couple of seconds to capture and process shots. While the colours were not that accurate in daylight images, the Canvas 5's camera is likely to satisfy most users at this price level but don't expect much from it in the low light conditions .

Performance and Build Quality
Using up several apps and switching between them was lag-free and quick.Under the hood, the Canvas 5 features an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with integrated Mali-T720 MP2 graphics, clubbed with 3GB of DDR3 RAM. Out of 3GB RAM, we noted around 1.8GB free, while the system and the pre-loaded apps used the rest. Our review unit had 16GB of inbuilt storage, of which roughly 9.5GB was available to use. However, this shouldn't be an issue as you have the option to add up to 32GB of space using a microSD card.Call quality is also above average and browsing is very good.

Gaming on this device is a good take and It handles all of the games like Modern Combat 5, Asphalt 8 , Nova ,NFS ,Real Racing , Leo's Fortune easily but does heat up not high but yes heating is there and It can reach Up to 43 C which is not that much high in compare to Redmi phones which hit the spot of 45-48 C .

Battery -
Micromax Canvas 5's 2900mAh non-removable battery performed okay not to good and not to bad but the thing which is quite complaining is its slow charging . Charger in the box is a 1 Ampere charger .Also when we tried different chargers it gives us a warning of slow charging which was quite disappointing
We hope that Micromax will come up and fix this issue by a software update which is quite unlikely for Micromax..

Software -
Software is Android 5.1 Lollipop and UI is very smooth with no lag but has many Bloat-wares which can be easily uninstalled but It would be better if it could pose a stock android experience which is favourable by all .The company has also promised to bring out an Android 6.0 or 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for this phone but the time of it is not certain .
Rating - 3.5/5
Pros -
Cons -
- Non removable battery.
- Zero Shutter lag functioning
- Average Camera
- Slow Charging
Verdict-
Our initial impression of the Canvas 5 is a mix of both good and bad. On one hand you have the near-stock Android experience, octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM to handle multi-tasking, but on the other the camera is not up to the mark.
You must buy it if you are a gamer and want a good display to watch movies with average camera performance and You can give it a drop if u want good battery ,fast Charging and excellent camera.
It is priced at 11999 and you can buy it from local retailers at lower rates of about 11500
although the online prices are quite high ..
Also you must give a look to Moto G3 which is priced at 12999 .
Overall rating - 3.5/5
